Adobe Flash is a media component to a website that allows for some rather dynamic experiences pictures and scripting can't create. We have had experience developing Flash files (SWF) since the first browser plugins were released. It is a powerful format and we are always amazed the new things Flash allows for us as developers to achieve. As the technology of Flash improves and changes, we will continue to utilize Flash's incredible possibilities of interaction and presentation to create new and exciting projects.
Generally, everyone is familiar with its animation capabilities, however Flash is much more than that. Flash can act a as stand-alone media player for video and audio files or a slideshow for images. It can load external information from XML and other database formats for dynamic content delivery. It allows for object handling that regular server-side scripting could never attempt. It can be used to create and play video games or make an entire animated short. It can be used to generate complex renderings of vector line drawings based off mathematic formulas . All of this is backed up by its powerful scripting language, ActionScript.
Most people feel using Flash on a home page can make a dramatic statement with its presentation. Animation, audio and other movement can set the tone for the user or make them wanting more. However, we feel creating an entire website as an encapsulated Flash movie file misses out on a lot of the search engine optimization. Sometimes a movie may take to long to load and visitors become impatient and leave. Plus, until recently, Flash plugins weren't universally available for all operating systems and browsers. We feel a combination of Flash elements mixed with clever design can actuate a complete experience without compromising the positive aspects of using HTML on a website. FLA Source Code
Any project we complete in Flash includes the original Flash development document format (FLA) so in case you wish to make changes to your SWF file you or another developer will be able to do so unimpeded. If you are missing the FLA file to an existing Flash element on your current website, we have methods of cracking open that file in order to make changes. Although sometimes we may not be able to recover all aspects of the file, it could provide us a blueprint to recreate and reverse engineer the file.
